SENIOR MINISTRY - If someone has availability during the morning to sit with member Gwen Soderberg as she gets back on her feet. She would welcome the company and needs a morning 'nudge' to eat and get moving. SILENT VOICES –Although they do not have a table on the patio, we have the opportunity to help restock the Silent Voices pantry with baby supplies (diapers, blankets, baby wipes, personal hygiene items, clothing, etc.). Silent Voices is a Christian pro-life pregnancy center founded and run by member Sharon Pearce, that provides life-affirming alternatives to abortion, and support to mothers and babies in our community who need help. GREETING AND USHERING – If you are interested in greeting and ushering, talk to Pastor Eloy on Sunday morning or to Timothy Hulbert (first service) or Justin Hoech (second service).

EMBRACE GRACE – Clairemont Emmanuel is kicking off another semester for our ministry/small group of Embrace Grace. This group provides emotional, practical, and spiritual support for single, young pregnant women who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy. The primary goal of Embrace Grace is to empower the church to be a safe and nonjudgmental place for these young women to run to when they find out they are pregnant, instead of the last place they are welcomed because of shame and guilt. It is a 12-week program that teaches them about God’s love and grace, and at the end we will give them a baby shower to honor them for choosing life and to help provide for their baby’s needs.
We need your help! Would you prayerfully consider coming alongside us as we launch this ministry and serve weekly in the group meetings, or consider serving at the events that are a part of this program? For more information on Embrace Grace ministries, please visit www.embracegrace.com. INTERESTED IN JOINING A SMALL GROUP? Would you like to start or join a small group? Participants decide the frequency and scope of their gatherings. Small groups meet together for fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. Small groups are an integral part of our church community. Most meet regularly in the home of a group member. PRAYER AND ENCOURAGEMENT – If you’re aware of people who are sick, or stuck at home, or just lonely, pray for them and, by all means, give them a call!  Many of them have been contacted by you and been so encouraged! Will you pick someone from our church family to especially pray for this week and please call them or drop them a note to let them know you love them and are praying for them.

AFTER-SERVICE PRAYER – We will continue to invite people to come forward for prayer at the end of the service.  Please know that this is an invitation for you to come forward and pray about anything that God has put on your heart.  Of course to know the Lord, or to make spiritual decisions, but also to pray for anything personal you’d like prayer for. You might have a special prayer request for family, friends, work, etc.  Maybe it’s on your heart to come and pray for our pastors, missionaries, staff, youth, children, or one of our other ministries, etc.  Our team is available to pray with you about anything God puts on your heart. Please come and join us.

DOG SITTING OPPORTUNITY - I’m looking for a dog sitter for my 11yr old labradoodle, Finley, overnights at your home with his crate, in Nov/ Dec/Jan.  He’s a sweet-natured labradoodle, hypoallergenic (doesn’t shed like normal dogs), crate trained, well-behaved, 60lbs, doesn’t whine, rarely barks. ANGEL TREE, ONE WEEK AND COUNTING !!! – Does Angel Tree make a difference? Yes, it does. God has used CEBC’s Angel Tree ministry to impact the lives of several San Diego families this past year. A simple gift can be the beginning of the process of reconciliation between parent and child and helping family members come to faith in Jesus and growing in that faith. You can help make that difference in a child’s life by participating in our Angel Tree ministry outreach. Angels will be available Sunday, November 26, and December 3. PRIMETIMERS LAMB’S PLAYER & LUNCHEON on Wednesday, November 29, at 11:30 AM in The Upper Room. Lunch is $5 per person and, for those who’ve already purchased tickets, the bus leaves the church at 1:00PM sharp for the play at Lamb’s Players Theatre. Seniors (50 and older), if you have signed up to join us at the Lamb’s Players play, join us for a catered lunch beforehand. Also, you don’t have to be going to the play to come and have lunch.

“LADIES IT’S COLD OUTSIDE” – Christmas Party on the Patio, December 1, 6:30 PM. The event will include holiday desserts, hot beverages, and carols, with a short devotional and gospel invitation, so invite an unchurched friend! Stop by our ministry

GUY’S BREAKFAST! SATURDAY DECEMBER 2 at 8AM in the Fellowship Hall – on “The Power of Choice.” We will be finishing up our year as Todd Simpson shares on the incredible power each of us have through the decisions we make. It’s potluck so bring your favorite “Guy food” - enough for 6-8 guys. All CEBC guys, their sons, and their non-church friends are welcome!
GUYS GAME DAY – On the FIRST Saturday of the month (next time will be THIS Saturday, December 2nd) (from 9:30AM – 11:30AM) we’ll be having an outdoor game time with pickleball and spike ball for guys aged 13 and up.  ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME. CHRISTMAS CONCERT – December 10th during both morning services and Sunday evening at 7PM. Please join us as the Clairemont Emmanuel Worship Arts Team performs a collection of beautiful, contemporary arrangements featuring both old and new songs that will bring us to the heart of the Christmas message. Invite your friends and family. Come in the morning and then invite more friends and come back for the evening concert as well!

CHRISTMAS WEEKEND – Sunday, December 24 – Christmas Eve Services (9AM & 10:30AM & 3:30PM) These services are approximately one hour and are identical. Childcare (0-5) available at the 10:30AM service only, please consider helping with childcare during the 10:30AM service. Childcare volunteers are needed! Talk to Susan Robinson or Sammy Buser about volunteering.

HOLIDAY PARKING AND SEATING – Over these next weeks especially, if you’re healthy and able, please park on the street in the area and leave the parking lot for those with health issues and for families. In both services, if you could please sit as forward in the sanctuary and to the inside of your row as possible, it will be helpful in seating those who come later than you.

NEW SMALL GROUP – Adults only small group meeting every other Friday night from 7PM-8PM to review  and discuss the sermon notes from the previous week’s sermon, prayer and fellowship in a home-based small group at 5336 Winthrop Street in Clairemont.
