MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY!! - There is a kinship grandmother (someone who cares for an Angel Tree child) named Cynthia in need of some help. She currently has four storage units that need to be cleared out. It has been very hard on her emotionally because everything was thrown into storage when she was evicted and now needs to figure out what to let go of, for the betterment of her future with her teenage grandsons.

It is a highly sensitive situation, but Lisa Christy, the executive director, is willing to take point as long as we have helping hands to haul the rest away. We are in close communication with her caseworker as well and are just trying to see if anyone would be willing to haul a load or two away for Grandma Cynthia.

I understand it's a big ask. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Please contact Lisa (lisa.christy@r225.org) if you have a group that can help for maybe a Saturday morning or one evening.

CONGREGATIONAL VOTE – By a basically unanimous decision, we have voted FOR Aaron Passmore to join the pastoral staff in September 2024.  Please congratulate him when you see him, his wife, Christine, and his children, Zeke, and Damari.  Aaron and Christine were in Washington State last weekend but will be around Clairemont Emmanuel this weekend.

CRU – This is the last Sunday for the CRU students to be with us.  If you see them, thank them for being with us for the summer and wish them well as they return back to their respective schools.

MEN’S TRI-TIP & POTATO BAR NIGHT - Come join us for the Clairemont Emmanuel annual men’s dinner to be held TONIGHT (!!), Friday, July 28th at 6PM in Fellowship Hall AS A PART OF SUMMERFEST. We will hear a special message from John Snyder, our Summerfest speaker. Cost of the dinner is $10 per person, and free for any non-church guests you bring.
