READING GLASSES NEEDED - In mid-September Brad and Beth Buser will be returning to Papua New Guinea to visit and encourage the Iteri church. One item in particular the church is asking for is reading glasses. Their eyes wear out, too! If any of you have outdated glasses (new reading glasses are fine too!) you could give to our sister church, it would be greatly appreciated. You can give them directly to Brad and Beth or bring them to the church office. Many thanks!
TOP PARKING LOT CLOSED – We will be doing some repairs on the top level parking lot and that lot will be unavailable for use from Monday, July 31 – Wednesday, August 2.
DAN DANGEL - Our friend and brother, passed away early this morning. He is with the Lord and in no more pain. We will miss him. His wife, Cathy, has been so encouraged and uplifted by all the cards, prayers, and words of encouragement. Please continue to pray for her and their two daughters, Hannah (and her family) and Eryn, over these next weeks and months.
EMBRACE GRACE - Clairemont Emmanuel is kicking off another semester for our ministry/small group of Embrace Grace. This group provides emotional, practical, and spiritual support for single, young pregnant women who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy. The primary goal of Embrace Grace is to empower the church to be a safe and nonjudgmental place for these young women to run to when they find out they are pregnant, instead of the last place they are welcomed because of shame and guilt. It is a 12-week program that teaches them about God's love and grace, and at the end we will give them a baby shower to honor them for choosing life and to help provide for their baby’s needs.
We need your help! Would you prayerfully consider coming alongside us as we launch this ministry and serve weekly in the group meetings, or consider serving at the events that are a part of this program? For more information on Embrace Grace ministries, please visit www.embracegrace.com. If you would like to learn more about how you can get involved, please contact Nancy Wiseman at 770-630-8540, who is heading up this group at our church.
