CHRISTMAS CONCERT – THIS SUNDAY, December 10th during both morning services and Sunday evening at 7PM. Please join us as the Clairemont Emmanuel Worship Arts Team performs a collection of beautiful, contemporary arrangements featuring both old and new songs that will bring us to the heart of the Christmas message. Invite your friends and family. Come in the morning and then invite more friends and come back for the evening concert as well! Additional invitations are available at the welcome table.

THE MISSIONS COURSE AT CLAIREMONT EMMANUEL – starts January 21st. NOTE THE TIME CHANGE: 3:30 – 6PM. Cost per person $50. Register on-line through the Missions Course themissionscourse. com/inpersonregistration/clairemontemmanuel. We believe God has an important role for you – and the Church – to play in The Great Commission. The Missions Course exists to help you discover that. Formatted as a six-week course, The Missions Course will introduce you to (or remind you of) God’s heart for the nations and invite you to discover and play your role in it – whether here or overseas! We will now be offering a children’s program during that time – also on missions.

ANGEL TREE UPDATE - Praise to God and thank you for your fantastic participation thus far in our Angel Tree ministry! Eighty-eight angels were available over the past two Sundays and all of them have been taken. Today is the final day for all gifts to be wrapped and returned to the church. The Angel Tree staff will be available at the table collecting your gifts and answering any Angel Tree questions. Please contact Paul Champlin for more information 619-209-1237.

BAPTISM – We are planning on having a baptism on Sunday, December 17 immediately following the second service.  If you’re interested in being baptized, contact Pastor Kenny (619-508-3785).

LIVING WATERS MINISTRIES requests donations of individually wrapped snacks to fill 250 donated backpacks as gifts for our homeless for the upcoming Christmas dinner on Tuesday 12/19. Donations can be brought to church (see Dale or Jeanie Presley) or dropped off anytime at 4347 Mt Henry Ave, San Diego, CA 92117.

PASTOR’S CHRISTMAS GIFT – If you are interested in giving toward the pastor’s 2023 Christmas gift (over and above your regular giving) you can put that in the memo or subject line.

WELCOME CARDS – are located at the Welcome Table on the patio or in the acrylic containers on the wall in the back of the sanctuary. Please take one and fill it out if you’d like a call from a pastor, if you have a prayer request, or if you’d like to be added to our email list, etc. Once filled out, put the cards in the white offering boxes on the wall in the sanctuary. You can also sign up and share a prayer request on-line at clairemontemmanuel.com.

PRAYER AND ENCOURAGEMENT – Especially during these next weeks, between now and Christmas, if you’re aware of people who are sick or stuck at home or just lonely, pray for them and give them a call. Many of them have been contacted by you and been so encouraged! Will you pick someone from our church family to especially pray for this week and please call them or drop them a note to let them know you love them and are praying for them.

DECEMBER PARKING AND SEATING – PARKING – Over these next weeks especially, if you’re healthy and able, please park on one of the streets in the area and leave the parking lot for those with health issues and for families. Please take care to not park in front of our neighbor’s driveways.  SEATING – In both services, if you could please sit as forward in the sanctuary and to the inside of your row as possible, it will be helpful in seating those who come later than you. Thank you.

BENEVOLENCE GIVING – At the beginning of COVID we had an out-pouring of gifts given specifically to help people in need and, thanks to you, we have helped dozens and dozens of people with thousands of dollars. Thank you!  While our fund still has some monies, this is a time of year that we have the opportunity to help many.  Would you ask the Lord what He would have you to do and consider making a gift to our benevolence that would be over and above your regular giving during the month of December?
NEW YEARS RESOLUTION: SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH STUDENTS AT MISSION BAY HIGH SCHOOL IN 2024 – Prayer team and volunteer leaders are needed for a Young Life club starting at Mission Bay High School in January. All you need is a heart for high schoolers to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. Please contact David Warren for more information at 619-347-8358 or warrenpride@gmail.com.

CHURCH FLOODING – Unfortunately we have recently had two big floods in the Ark level.  This has been caused by items other than toilet paper being flushed down the toilets in the sanctuary area as well as on the Ark Level.  Women, please do not flush any feminine product down the toilets.  There are trash cans near all the toilets for anything other than toilet paper.

SAFE FAMILIES FOR CHILDREN is a Christ-centered organization that provides safe, temporary homes for families in crisis. “Safe Families” works through volunteers that are willing to become “Host Families.” These volunteers open up their homes temporarily to children in our community who are experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, etc. or whose parents are dealing with a crisis of their own, without any support. The intent is to provide safe shelter for the children, relief and support to the parent(s), and ultimately to help strengthen the family and get them back on their feet.If you are interested in getting more information or becoming a volunteer “Host Family”, please contact Jona (858-232-2258) or Brooke Dumitru (951-553-6578).

Talk to Susan Robinson or Sammy Buser about volunteering.
