Highlighted announcements - Nov 25

BENEVOLENCE GIVING – At the beginning of COVID we had an out-pouring of gifts given specifically to help people in need and, thanks to you, we have helped dozens and dozens of people with thousands of dollars. Thank you!  While our fund still has some monies, this is a time of year that we have the opportunity to help many.  Would you ask the Lord what He would have you to do and consider making a gift to our benevolence that would be over and above your regular giving fund during the month of December?

HOLIDAY PARKING AND SEATING – PARKING – Over these next weeks especially, if you’re healthy and able, please park on one of the streets in the area and leave the parking lot for those with health issues and for families. Please take care to not park in front of our neighbor’s driveways.  SEATING – In both services, if you could please sit as forward in the sanctuary and to the inside of your row as possible, it will be helpful in seating those who come later than you. Thank you.

MISSIONS COURSE AT CLAIREMONT EMMANUEL – 6PM Sunday evenings starting January 21st. Cost per person $50. Register on-line TODAY through the Missions Course at . . . www.themissionscourse.com/inpersonregistration/clairemontemmanuel . We believe God has an important role for you – and the Church – to play in The Great Commission. The Missions Course exists to help you discover that. Formatted as a six-week course, The Missions Course will introduce you to God’s heart for the nations and invite you to discover and play your role in it – whether here or overseas!
NOTE: When you register on-line, it starts off saying that you’re registering for The Missions Course at Clairemont Emmanuel, then there’s a minor snafu in the registration.  Once you get to the payment page, it says you’re paying “Grace Church of Orange.”  We are trying to fix this problem, but be assured, you are paying the money to Clairemont Emmanuel even when it says otherwise.

SAFE FAMILIES FOR CHILDREN is a Christ-centered organization that provides safe, temporary homes for families in crisis. “Safe Families” works through volunteers that are willing to become “Host Families.” These volunteers open up their homes temporarily to children in our community who are experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, etc. or whose parents are dealing with a crisis of their own, without any support. The intent is to provide safe shelter for the children, relief and support to the parent(s), and ultimately to help strengthen the family and get them back on their feet.If you are interested in getting more information or becoming a volunteer “Host Family”, please contact Jona (858-232-2258) or Brooke Dumitru (951-553-6578).

ANGEL TREE BEGINS THIS WEEKEND!!! – Does Angel Tree make a difference? Yes, it does. God has used CEBC’s Angel Tree ministry to impact the lives of several San Diego families this past year. A simple gift can be the beginning of the process of reconciliation between parent and child and helping family members come to faith in Jesus and growing in that faith. You can help make that difference in a child’s life by participating in our Angel Tree ministry outreach. Angels will be available Sunday, November 26, and December 3. If you should have any questions, please contact Paul Champlin at (619) 209-1237.
